Heavensward Update Details

  • I just wanted to make this post to advise that I will not be buying the PC version of this update. My wife and I both play however buying the expansion for 2-3 platforms each along with getting the CE's would be prohibitively expensive.

As such we will only be getting the PS4 versions. I will continue to update the application as much as possible with what resources I have along with the great community input I've received. :)

Updates will be a bit slow as I would also like to take the time to enjoy the expansion and level, craft, etc. I'll do my best as always.

    See you in-game!

P.S. I will update this post with my progress on the changes.

    Updates:

    DX11 + DX9 are updated.

    Known Issues:

DX9: Inventory pointers may be off.
DX11: Inventory pointers and player info need to be fixed.

    All else working! Radar/Parser/Logging/Widgets :)

    Thanks!

I also noticed there was more changes in how names are hidden/shown in the chatlog. I'm working on this as quickly as I can.

  • @dreams

I pushed a new branch "3.0-changes" with the chatlog update. I'll be adding more in as I get some time. I should have a good amount done by the weekend.

  • i have to ask, will it work with DX9 & DX11 when updated?

  • @antomime DX9 first with auto-detection of DX11 after that.

  • Hello :) Quick question, I understand getting everything updated for HW is a WiP, but i wanted to confirm something so i can stop pulling my hair out; Should the radar plugin be working?

    Ty!

  • None should "work" right now, however if you clone the branch I mentioned using GitHub for windows; you can run the ffxivapp exe from the distribution folder, install some plugins and get some basic stuff. Radar might show names; but I haven't yet confirmed the "actor.type" enumeration values so it could not show them.

I'll be getting something out quicker now :)

  • Just a basic question though, right now it doesn't seem like it can find the process to attach to on windows 10, do you know there have been any changes since then for fetching the PID?

You are using DX11 right? The DX9 detection works right now; I just have to update the files listed above to have the right data shown, but the app now knows where the base data is.

  • I can confirm that the DX9 detection works on the latest win10 release. DX11 it does nothing yet

  • I can get it to attach but it will not populate any information for me either in parser, log or radar.

This is even with the Packet Reading enabled. Not sure why say I found it to work find before HW released.

  • I'm going to post a pre-release tonight with the most basic of changes which should get the majority of stuff up and running but it will be missing things like the new actions/status/area names until I can get those copy/pasted in and get all the ID's.

  • Pushed the update.

    Known issues:

    • New areas, status effects, ninja mutilate and new job skills/changes have not been updated as of yet.
    • There are a few memory items related to casting/enumeration values that need to be updated.

  • Update:
Status events and actions have been updated including mutilate for Ninjas. 99% of DX9 work is complete and I'll be working on DX11 as I have time. This week will be extremely busy but I already have some locations to work off of and will update the thread accordingly.

If any enterprising c#'er want's to have a go at it; by all means I'm open to pull requests! :)

  • It works good to know it was not on my side, cheers.

  • Is it just me or is there anyone else who has problems with the radar? New A and S Mobs seems to be a little bit tricky on the radar - they disappear if you're not looking straight at them and the range for the spotting is very short? Even if you have them on radar they tend to flicker? ^^

  • Do you have occlusion culling on? I know SE has limited the data it sends now to the UI and also from what I've seen it might be affected by occlusion culling.

  • Same thing happening to Valerian is happening to me. I have been trying to make it work like 2.55 these past few days. Now mobs usually start to appear when very close and looking at them, when the names render. If I turn around they disappear from radar. Range seems very short also after 3.0. I have also Occlusion Culling off.. but on or off does the same thing. But seriously I am so glad it wasn't just me!
